地理环境与行为环境
当环境未曾进入知觉/行为视界，它只作为地理环境而存在。当一种行为发生，它将同时构造自己处于其中环境——“行为环境”有赖于两组条件，一组是地理环境中所固有的，一组是有机体内所固有的。
行为环境与地理环境的距离如同现实（reality）与现象（appearance）之间的区别。它的产生也将同时引入主体的意图和情感。错觉构成行为环境的一部分，并构成认识行为的基础。因此，“真实环境”与“物自体”一样难于被直接把握到，它必须通过推理和修正才能进入认识；另一方面，行为世界永远是一个现象世界，事物通过它们“看起来”的样子进入存在之中。

Geographical environment and behavioral environment
Environment never enters the horizon of consciousness and behavior. It only exists as a geographical environment. When a behavior occurs, it also constructs the environment it is located in. "Behavioral environment" depends on two conditions; one is inherent in the geographical environment while the other is inherent in organism.
The distance between behavior and geography is just like the difference between reality and phenomena. It also introduces intentions and emotions of subjects. Illusion constitutes a part of behavior environment, and is also the basis to understanding behavior. Therefore, it is equally difficult to grasp the "true environment" and a "thing in itself". The former only enters consciousness through reasoning and correction. On the other hand, the world of behavior is always a world of phenomenon, in which things present their existence through “what they look like".
